ARTS: SEEKING THE SUBLIME
By: Arts Council of York County
At: Center for the Arts121 East Main Street, Rock Hill, SC
Works featured in Seeking the Sublime explore time and place, work in metaphor and delve into the physical changes witnessed in viewing art through the computer and in person. Explore the paradoxical irony that digital technologies impose on the perception of time and place through the poetic metaphor of a river with J. Michael Simpson's works. Seth Rouser finds parallels between the constant flux of the sky and the human existence, and intrigue in the inherent ability of clouds to represent constant change, while Robert Mullenix delves into the landscape as he creates significant objects that give the viewer pause. This event is a part of the Come-See-Me Festival. For more information, visit the Arts Council of York County's website at yorkcountyarts.org or call 803-328-2787.
